I’m a beer guy, and don’t have much of a wine palate, but I have to give love where love is due to be given.

Last night, we saw Keren Ann, my favorite singer-songwriter, at City Winery in Soho. City Winery is a very cool space, big and beautifully designed, in the way that only a Soho space can be.  An intimate venue in the mode of old midtown dinner+drinks+show theaters.  Excellent food, tasty wine, and a good (if limited) beer selection.  Good sound system, and very good acoustics.  They make wine on-site, using mostly California grapes.  The space has the same industrial workpalce + refined leisure site feeling that really good brewpubs have.

And Keren Ann, was, as always, fantastic.
